Despite a violent storm forcing the cancellation of the final stages, the 2nd edition of the Lana Storico Regularity Rally saw an excellent turnout with 53 crews at the start — surpassing entries from other national rounds.

Organized by Veglio 4x4, the event was divided into two average-speed categories: “Media 60” and “Media 50”.

In the Media 60 class, Fabio and Paolo Verdona clinched victory in their Scuderia del Grifone-liveried Peugeot 309 GTI. They finished well ahead of Marco Gandino and Marco Frascaroli in a Fiat Ritmo 130 TC, who edged out Gabriele Seno and Francesco Giammarino (Opel Kadett GT/e) by just 3 penalties.

Fourth were Antonella Monza and Susanna Nicolini in a Porsche 911, followed by Giorgio Garghetti and Barbara Giordano in a BMW 320.

In the Media 50 category, it was a close call decided by only 5 penalties: Mariano Fiorese and Laura Marcattilj triumphed in a Porsche 911 SC. Behind them, another Porsche 911 crewed by Enrico Colombo and Francesca Guerrucci, with Vladimiro Carminati and Corrado Sonzogni (Lancia Fulvia Coupé) completing the podium.

Rounding out the top five were Catanzaro–Beneduce (Honda Civic) and Sommaruga–Fumanelli (Audi Quattro).

Despite the weather, the Lana Storico reasserts its status as a must-attend event for regularity rally enthusiasts.
