With only a few days to go before the start, expectations are growing for the 12th Historical Re-enactment of the Coppa Milano - Sanremo, the most charming and ancient race in Italy, scheduled from 6 to 8 May 2021 with an edition that presents many logistic and sporting novelties.
For the first time in its history, the "Lady" of races is preparing to open the 2021 ACI Sport Italian Great Events Championship which, reserved for classic regularity races, also includes the Coppa d'Oro delle Dolomiti, the Gran Premio Nuvolari and the Targa Florio Classica.
The XII Rievocazione Storica boasts illustrious partners, starting with Urban Up | Unipol, the real estate project dedicated to enhancing the real estate assets of the Unipol Group, and IWC Schaffahausen, the historic brand of excellence and incomparable precision of Swiss watchmaking and official time keeper, both main sponsors of the event.

Numerous new features are planned, first and foremost the route which, for over 700 km along the Milan-Rapallo-Sanremo route, will offer the "cars of yesteryear" the chance to discover timelessly fascinating landscapes, crossing the territories of Lombardy, Piedmont and Liguria.
The event will start on Thursday 6 May with the meeting of the crews at the Autodromo di Monza, the internationally renowned "Temple of Speed", where the technical and sporting checks and free laps on the track will be held. Thanks to the well-established partnership with Mercedes-Benz, as institutional partner of the event, through the official dealer Merbag S.p.A. during the opening day of the Coppa Milano-Sanremo at the Autodromo, AMG lovers will have the opportunity to test their favourite supercars on the more than 5.700 meters of the legendary Brianza track. In the hospitality lounge of the Autodromo di Monza, Natuzzi Italia will take care of the guests of the event with a lounge area created with a selection of exclusive products, a special themed photo exhibition will also be presented, dedicated to the passion for cars and the great Mercedes tradition in motorsport.
In the afternoon the cars will move to Milan for the exclusive inaugural parade in the heart of the city, starting from the headquarters of the Automobile Club Milano, passing through the streets of the fashion quadrilateral and Porta Nuova, parading in front of De Castillia, 23 Urban Up | Unipol until arriving in the shadow of the Madonnina, not before visiting the famous Castello Sforzesco. The day will end with the official opening that will take place in the garden of Milano Verticale | UNA Esperienze, the new UNA Group flagship hotel, located in the Porta Nuova - Garibaldi - Corso Como district.
"The Coppa Milano-Sanremo is one of the historic events of Automobile Club Milano, which organised it for the first time in April 1906, conceiving this crossing to the sea and the spring colours of the Ligurian Riviera. 115 years later, we are proud to renew the tradition and host the start of Italy's oldest car race in front of our headquarters," says Geronimo La Russa, President of Automobile Club Milano.
On the morning of Friday 7 May, there will be the official start of the race, with the crews facing the first kilometres of the scheduled race and the aim of sportingly honouring one of the oldest and most prestigious motor races. The frame of the first stage will be the suggestive scenery of the Langhe, where, during the intermediate break in Priocca d'Alba, the crews will have the unique opportunity to live an unforgettable experience through a visit to "Mondodelvino Wine Experience", the interactive museum dedicated to the culture of wine, unique in Italy. Following the famous "Ruta" and passing through Rapallo, the crews will arrive in Portofino where, as an absolute novelty this year, there will be an exclusive défilé reserved for the participating cars in the fascinating setting of the Marina di Portofino.
Saturday 8 May will be the decisive day during which the cars will have to run the last time trials: after the traditional start from Rapallo, they will enter the centre of Genoa as far as Piazza De Ferrari, tackle the tricky bends of the Passo del Turchino, the Passo del Faiallo, the Colle d'Oggia and the Melogno before stopping for a light lunch at the prestigious Yacht Club in Marina di Loano and conclude the time trials at the Ospedaletti Circuit, a symbolic place for motorsport.
The race will end in Sanremo, the famous city of flowers, with the traditional parade in Corso Matteotti. This will be followed by the gala dinner and the prize-giving ceremony, which will take place in the charming location of the Hotel Royal.
Important partners include the renewed collaboration with Cuvage, the Italian excellence in classic method sparkling wine, which will be the official supplier of the competition for the beverage sector, and with Marina di Loano S.p.a., which will host one of the most fascinating stages of the route.
New partners of the event are Milano Verticale| UNA Esperienze, which will host the first exclusive evening, Zepter and Natuzzi Italia, interpreter and ambassador of the made in Italy design in the world through unique products able to make known a distinctive lifestyle that speaks of beauty and harmony.
