Lancia Lambda crew ahead of Aliverti and Miatto

The fifth edition of the Mitteleuropean Race ended today.
for vintage cars built up to 1976 and others of particular historical interest up to 1990. After two stages for a total of about 450 kilometres through the municipal and provincial roads of Friuli Venezia Giulia, a true triumph of horizons that seamlessly recall the richness of the territory, the competitors crossed the finish line on a catwalk located in Piazza Unità d'Italia in Trieste.
After 80 timed trials and 6 average trials with 15 readings, the classification was dominated by the crew composed of
Andrea Belometti and Emanuela Putelli on board a 1929 Lancia Lambda, followed by the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato driven by Alberto Aliverti and Stefano Valente.

In third place was the Fiat 508 C driven by Roberto and Francesca Miatto.

It is worth mentioning the great performance of Ezio Sala and Gianluca Cioffi who, in the lead after the first stage, had to raise the white flag due to a problem with the gearbox of their Lancia Aprilia.

Among the teams victory for the Bolognese Nettuno Bologna thanks to the performance of Roberto Miatto and Francesca, Baldissera - Covaz, winners of Group 6 and Tattini - Sciolti.

Second place for Brescia Corse that precedes the Regolaristi Friulani.

Twenty-seven crews finished the race of the thirty-five that were at the starting line, divided into seven groups.

In the first group, behind the first two in the overall standings, Belometti and Aliverti, Giuseppe Nobis and Fabio Loperfido took the third step on the podium in the OM 665 Superba Classic Team.

In group two, behind Miatto, we find Giovanni Pedrali navigated by Simona Bonomelli on MG PB Franciacorta Motori. Third place for the Classic Team crew composed of Girogio Ciresola and Stefano Franchini on Fiat 514.

Cicuttini Amedeo and Lia Castellano on Fiat 1100 Export won the third grouping ahead of Lugino Gennaro and Steve Clark on board of a Fiat 1100 103 targata Padova Corse.

Third position for Giacomo Turri with Elisa Moscato on Alfa Romeo Spider.

In group four success for Giacarlo Ferro and Sergio Pittolo on Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint ahead of Lorenzo and Lucrezia Toninelli on Porsche 356C.

Leonardo Fabbri navigated by Sonia Cipriani on Volvo Amazon P121. Second place for Stefano Rigo and Pierpalolo Puhali on Lancia HF 1600. Closing the group podium Daniel Genta navigated by Gabriel Gallucci on MG Mark II.

 

Tiziano Baldissera and Edoardo Covaz bring their Lancia Fulvia Montecarlo to the success in the sixth group. Behind the bearers of the Scuderia Nettuno Bologna are teammates Tattini-Sciolti in Autobianchi A112. Third place for Dario Converso and Federica Ameglio on Lancia Fulvia Coupè Hf 1600.

 

The eighth group saw the success of Fabrizo Livon and Paolo Osti on Maserati 3500 that preceded Leone and Lorenzo Riccobon on Ford Capri S 1600.

 

In the special classification dedicated to the medium stages success of Alberto Aliverti and Stefano Valente on Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato that, with this victory, redeem themselves from the fatal mistake at the Coppa Milano Sanremo, just in a average test.
