Once again this year, there were some fine novelties for the 21st edition of the traditional Italian regularity car championship race.
The route has been almost completely revised, remaining in the Cremona countryside. The meeting, as is now customary, will be at the Juliette di Cremona venue for sports and technical scrutineering from 8.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. on Saturday 27 May.
At 16:00 there will be the start of the first car in the race, which will take the competitors along an unusual route to the banks of the River Adda, ending the first stage in the historic village of Pizzighettone in the centre of the Po Valley.
In Pizzighettone, one of the most complete and significant walled cities of Lombardy, after the finish C.O., the ACI Sport Power Stage will take place in the old town centre, which will be followed by refreshments in the Casematte, famous for being barrel-vaulted rooms inside the walls.
On the morning of Sunday 28 May, again at the Juliette, the second stage will start with the now traditional sequence of small roads in the middle of the countryside set by the large Cremonese farmsteads.
The succession of more than 100 timed trials will see the competitors pass through Pieve San Giacomo with a C.O. to arrive in San Giovanni in Croce, a famous village with the magnificent Villa Medici del Vascello, with the C.O. that determines the end of the Cireas trials and the start of the Trofeo Dimmidisì.
The arrival of the first cars will be at the Juliette around 13:00 for lunch, while the prize-giving ceremony will be held at 16:00.
82 are the Cireas trials, 18 the Dimmidisì Trophy trials.
As always, the time trials will be particularly technical and will test reflexes and the ability to interpret the passages on the pressure switches in the best possible way.
All the trials, which are never trivial, are in line and never repeated.
